Wendy's New Logo
Not sure why, but changes to a brand's logo often seems to stir up buzz. We seem to be fascinated by brand logos. I know I am, but it always surprises me when the consuming public comments feverishly on a logo.
We've gone through it with Gap and Starbucks, and now there's some buzz (of a different kind) around the new Wendy's logo.
The commentary on this logo change is less about liking or disliking, but more around a subliminal message that many are seeing in the details.
You can take a look at it here.
Evidently, many folks see the word "MOM" in the ruffles of the shirt in the logo. Me? In a million years I wouldn't have noticed, but if you are looking (looking real hard) then I guess you can see it.
The brand maintains that it is unintentional, and I would bet that's the case. But it's still fun speculating!
What do you think? What's your experience? Jim.
