Ruffles Max Steak

We seem to be in the middle of an interesting food trend:  extreme flavors.

The bigger the flavor, the spicier the hit, the more pop on the tongue ... all the better to eat.

I recently wrote about Cracker Jack'D as a way for that brand to reinvent and serve up today's flavor demands.  Doritos is in the mix with their 3rd Degree Burn line.  Ouch, do I really want to burn my mouth out like that?!?  But then again, that's what Pepsi is for, their sister brand.  Cool after the burn!

Now here comes a head scratcher for me, Ruffles Max.  Not so much the Max part, I get it given all the recent developments in food flavors.  It's the flavors they chose that I would honestly be reluctant to try.

Like Max Steak.  Or Beer Battered Onion Rings.  If I want those flavors, wouldn't I just eat that food?  Onion Ring Potato Chips?  How about eating onion rings?

What do you think?  What's next?  Bubble gum potato chips?  Peanut butter potato chips?

What's your experience?  Jim.
