Candidates Set Up Shop
I have to say I was a little surprised when I went Hillary's website after winning the DC primary...I wanted to see what she was saying now that the final primary is in and tallied.
I wasn't surprised by what she posted at all; I was surprised to see a "shop" button. And I was even more surprised to see the depth of the merchandise: t-shirts for sure but also mugs, pillows, posters, glasses. It's an entire store!
Shop here for Hillary.
So for the first time ever, I went over to Donald's site and to my amazement he's got a store too. Perhaps not as in-depth, but still plenty of merchandise.
Shop here for Donald.
Proving to me, once again, that these two candidates are brands. In fact, this is probably the most "branded" Presidential campaign in history. Making history.
She with her logo and her signature pant suit. He with his now "unique" style and tagline. He's even branded her "Crooked Hillary" to try to overcome her own branding. She's trying to do the same by getting us to imagine his brand in the situation room.
Now as we continue to watch the saga (and it's more of a saga than a debate) unfold, we can be sipping coffee out of branded mugs. For either brand we choose.
