Burberry's New Logo

The fashion brand Burberry launched a new logo last week, after much fanfare. 

On the left is the old iconic logo, and on the right is the brand new one:

Let's just say that social media wasn't kind in its reaction. The logo left a lot of people asking "why." Why now? Why this one? Why so simple? Why remove the iconic horse?

The brand also introduced a new monogram as part of its look as well:


It's generally good to give your brand a refresh every now and again. It keeps the look fresh and keeps consumers engaged in the ongoing evolution of the brand's offerings. So what about this refresh?

Did this one go too far? Not far enough? Is it still Burberry?
