Nando's and the "unDemocratic Meal"

If you’re not familiar with the brand, Nando is a chain of restaurants that specializes in Portuguese-African food with a signature Peri-Peri style chicken dish. Born in South Africa, the company has locations around the world.

To draft off of the US Presidential Election, the company pulled a buzz-worthy stunt with a new menu item called the “unDemocratic Meal” as a way to engage and educate on voting. The recap video, based on hidden cameras at a Washington DC location, says it all:

The message … VOTE! Be a part of the decisions that affect your life! Because you don’t want someone else to decide for you.
