If you know me, then you know that I love year-end roundup lists. TBH perhaps not as much this year, because there’s not a lot that any of us choose to remember. Yet, I’d still like to recognize the moments that were. Or as Barbra Streisand says, “the way we were” in 2020.

So here’s my top ten favorite blog posts of 2020. From me, from my point of view.

10. #MusicMonday: I restarted one of my old traditions with the song that I start everything off with. https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/7/6/macarthur-park-musicmonday

9. What Will The New Decade Bring: the new year brought such a since of anticipation, which as we now know has completely upended. https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/1/12/what-will-the-new-decade-bring

8. In This Crisis, Be Careful What You Email: a lesson learned in being conscious and customer-oriented. https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/4/3/big-and-small-brands-be-careful-what-you-email

7. James Blunt - “Monsters:” a moving tribute from singer/songwriter James Blunt in honor of his aging father. https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/1/22/james-blunt-monsters

6. Mondays in a Pandemic: it’s always hard to get going on a Monday am, but this year it was particularly tough. https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/9/28/mondays-in-a-pandemic

5. The Coronavirus - This is a Paradigm Shift: it’s interesting to look back at when this all started, and to see how we were starting to deal with it all. https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/3/12/this-is-a-paradigm-shift

4. Dad Comes Out and Finds Love: as I share my story, it’s important for you to share yours too. https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/4/27/dad-comes-out-and-finds-love

3. Empathy: empathy became even more important this year. And evidently very inspiring! https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/8/18/empathy

2. Unprecedented and New Normal: in my new book this year, I declared that the words “digital” and “integrated” needed to go away. Well in this post I added two more words that we should stop saying! https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/5/4/unprecedented-and-new-normal

Number ONE … Just Drink the Wine!: my view of the world, no matter the world. https://www.jimjoseph.com/jimjosephexp/2020/8/1/while-you-were-arguing-about-the-glass-i-drank-the-wine

While looking back, I am more importantly looking forward. What’s your experience? JIM

One More Thing: in 2020 I did indeed launch my new book “The Conscious Marketer.” Yes, I launched a new book in the middle of the pandemic. Yes. I’m that person. But it’s been especially rewarding to have a point of view when so much is changing. If you’d like to check it out, click here.
