2020 "Can't Cancel Pride"

It’s June and it’s Pride Month all around the world. But it’s a tough year to celebrate, to say the least. The Supreme Court’s recent decision to uphold equality in the workplace was a painful reminder that we are still not there yet. While I am so appreciative of the decision, it struck me with raw emotion that we are still even having the debate. And that three of the judges didn’t approve of it. I don’t get it.

Which is why we must continue to celebrate Pride Month, especially when so many in our community our people of color and they are suffering even more.

I’d like to thank P&G and iHeart Radio for partnering this year for “Can’t Cancel Pride,” a celebratory event on June 25th to keep Pride active this year. Here’s a bit from the event website:

“On Thursday, June 25th, iHeartRadio and P&G bring together the most inspirational voices in the LGBTQ community, along with LGBTQ allies, to benefit 6 diverse LGBTQ organizations, unifying communities and recognizing 50 years of Pride with bold performances and powerful, intersectional messages of spirit and strength.”

I’ll be there. What’s your experience? JIM
