Reddit SuperBowl 2021 :05

Reddit, as in the online community connectivity site, made quite a quick and clever presence during the Super Bowl this year. So quick that in a blink of an eye I missed it yet so clever that it’s been creating a buzz ever since. Couldn’t help but notice that!

The quick part was a :05 second spot wedged between other advertising during the game, meant to disrupt the advertising during the game:

Clever because of its disruption and its longevity. The spot has been running ever since, and it encourages people to pause the video to read the copy. And to engage in Reddit.

Pretty clever. Many are talking about Reddit who’ve never talked about the platform before. Many who may share a community interest. Many who may now join in.

Quick and clever.
