… what’s on the other side”

Barbra Streisand recently released an album of songs that have been hidden in her vault, recorded years ago but never published. One of those songs is a duet with Kermit the Frog on his very own song “The Rainbow Connection.”

It’s a quirky little song that is honestly hard not to like. It was also the theme song to the annual Variety Show that our high school Senior class performed way back in the day. I remember this song like it was yesterday. We must have practiced it a hundred times. In rainbow t-shirts.

The song is about hope and optimism and happiness and most importantly … relationships. And you simply can’t resist a smile while listening and singing along.

So this “new” version of “The Rainbow Connection” is this week’s #MusicMonday because feeling like a teenager again isn’t a bad thing nor is feeling a whole lot of hope. #Hope.
