Soft Corinthian Leather

Source: Wikipedia

Do you remember how “Soft Corinthian Leather” was such a selling point for a new car back in the day? If a car had “Soft Corinthian Leather” then it must be total luxury. If you had “Soft Corinthian Leather” in your car then, well, you made it.

Turns out that there is no such thing as “Soft Corinthian Leather!” It’s just … leather. It was a concept created by the advertising agency in the 1970’s for luxury cars at Chrysler to make them feel oh so luxury.

Seems like it oh so worked! So creative! What a sensation! Love how they were able to make a feature or attribute stand out and mean something. Feel something! Differentiated from others on the market.

Can you create a sensation for one of your brand’s attributes? What’s your experience? JIM
