Defining "Purpose"
It’s conference season, and I’ve been to my fair share. Always great fun and always great stimulation.
At the Holmes Global Summit (called PRovoke) this week, I led a session on “Purpose,” arguably the most talked about topic in marketing these days. At the end of the session, I tried to sum up the discussion in one cohesive statement. You can let me know how I did:
"Purpose is not a campaign. It's intrinsically linked to the roots of the business and the brand’s values. It’s fueled by employees and it leverages an incredible internal and external ecosystem of organizations that can both boost and benefit from the shared purpose.”
What do you think? What’s your experience? JIM
